Today, I was trying to set up our student computer in our office. Scratch that. I DID set up our new computer! And right when I was about to be proud of myself, I realized that I had NO idea how to get internet to it. I had an internet cord in my hand in that moment. I knew that I did, because the sticker said "internet cord." hahaha So I e-mailed our IT guy to ask him if we could get wireless. His response?
Something technical followed by use your coworkers data switch. My response?
A one line e-mail that said, "If I were a data switch what would I look like?".
I would have preferred plug it into the blue and black box with the wires sticking out of it. haha. At that point my coworker came in and showed me what it was. So that's what I learned today! hooray. Plus I tried to google "how does the internet work" but everything was over my head.. :)
